About MBC Hands of Hope
Hands of Hope is a “Craft for a Cause” class for Years 5 to 12, running once a fortnight during school terms. Our aim is to educate, create and serve.
It's a wonderful opportunity to:
- Educate – includes talks on resilience, self-awareness, bullying, goal-setting, finances and topics relevant to this age group from a Christian perspective
- Create – beautiful craft while learning some basic skills like sewing and knitting, to mention just two. You will also do fun crafts like card, soap and candle making and more.
- Serve – our aim is to sell some of the craft to raise funds for Hope Street, a city-based organisation that provides assistance to vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Students will get to take craft home too!
Unfortunately, due to extended COVID-19 restrictions affecting the greater Sydney region, no dates have been set for the next Hands of Hope classes.
